




Unique wooden church is located near Banská Bystrica. It is not a traditional wooden church and therefore attracts many tourists. It is an articular evangelical church in Hronsek.
It ranks among the unique wooden churches that are remarkable not only for their architecture but also for their construction technology. It is built entirely of wood, and no metal nails have been used in their construction.
Although it may not seem at first sight, there are up to 1,100 seats in its interior, and each location has a perfect view of the altar. The church in Hronsek has a ground plan in the shape of a cross and you can enter the interior with up to five entrances.
The altar is surrounded by six interchangeable images, which are placed in a common altar frame according to the current liturgy. The church includes also a bell tower, which was built in 1726 as well as the church. In addition to the church, you can also visit the manor house or the water castle in the village.
Every Sunday at 9:00 in the church, the evangelical services of God are held here. Outside the summer tourist season, it is necessary to book for viewing in advance.
