If you want to take a look into the world of traditional rural life, visit the House of Folk Traditions in Svodín. It is the first extended exhibition of the Ján Thain Museum in Nové Zámky, through which visitors are introduced to the way of life of a wealthy peasant family in Svodín in the 1920s and 1930s.

The exposition of the House of Folk Traditions consists of a number of furnished buildings located on a large plot of the former wealthy farmhouse. In front of the yard, there is a clay dwelling house built in the 1920s. House consisting of front room, kitchen, back room, chamber and stables. Behind the dwelling house, there is a three-part barn and below it, a cellar. The summer kitchen and the granary stand in front of the dwelling house, and behind them, there are sheds and barns.

The interior of the apartment house is furnished with original historical furniture and tools that were used at that time. The House of Folk Traditions has a spacious courtyard, which allows the organization of creative workshops, celebrations of calendar holidays, or the revival of traditional folk customs.

The area also includes the Archaeological Museum, which consists of two exhibitions presenting the history of the village of Svodín from the early Stone Age to the period of anti-Turkish fighting. The first exhibition “Prehistoric History of Svodín” is divided into five successive circles. The second exhibition is "Two extinct churches in Svodin".

The Archaeological Museum stores and exhibits items from local archaeological excavations. The most important are the artifacts of Lengyel culture, which contributed to the visibility of Sodinin in archaeological circles. Extraordinary attention should be paid to the findings of clay garnets, a set of coins from the Roman era to the 18th century, as well as a collection of crosses and medallions.
