National Nature Reserve of Zádielská Gulley is a monumental karst gulley with length of 3 km. It is located in Zádielská valley near the village Zádiel.

The length of the whole valley is almost 11 kilometers and the gulley is its most beautiful part. The depth of the gulley is over 300 m and the bottom width is only 10 meters in some sections.

It was created by intensive erosive activity of the Blatnica creek. Archaeological finds from prehistoric times have been discovered in the caves in Zádielská Gulley.

Passing through the rugged gulley will satisfy even the most demanding tourists. Particularly noteworthy are the massive rocky boulders, perpendicular walls and rocky cliffs, which often impress with their bizarre shapes. The softer and more romantic character of the gulley is provided by the Blatnica creek, which creates beautiful small waterfalls and cascades.

The mysteriousness of the gulley consists in its caves. There are up to 120 caves with beautiful halls in this area. The most famous one is the 17 m long Royal Cave.

The easiest way to reach the Zádielska Gulley is the tourist trail from Zádiel. The locality also includes a circular educational trail from Zádiel with information boards in length of 7.5km. Its transition takes about 4 hours. You can leave your car in the parking lot in Zádiel.
